The client’s policy approval process relied on highly specific business logic, including risk assessment rules, applicant capacity validation, and historical record checks. However, these processes were not centralized or structured in an agile way.
In addition, the workflow needed to connect with the company’s legacy policy issuance platform — a proprietary system with limited access, non-standard APIs, and little available documentation.
